Moving from ACR Phone to CallVault

A replacement phone app from NLL Apps, with call recording on supported devices. Facts about it come from its own page, last checked 7 November 2026. Prices and the wider comparison are on the CallVault site.

Should you move?

Stay on ACR Phone if one of these is you:

  • You want recorded calls sent to your own Web or FTP server, or to a major cloud service, which its listing offers.
  • You want a new phone app with a blocklist and call notes in one place.

Move if these matter more:

  • You keep the phone app you already use: ACR Phone must be your default phone app.
  • A web library for your backed-up recordings.
  • No ads, on any plan.

How do you move?

  1. Install CallVault and record one real call. Play it back before you change anything else. What CallVault hears depends on your phone.
  2. Keep ACR Phone's recordings where they are until that test call sounds right.
  3. To bring old recordings across, point CallVault at the folder they're in. CallVault reads those files and never changes them. It's built around phone makers' recorders and BCR-compatible ones, and we haven't tested ACR Phone's files, so try one first.
