Deleting recordings & your account
CallVault gives you full control over removal — one recording at a time, or your entire account.
Deleting a single recording
From a recording's detail screen you choose the scope:
- Delete on this device only — removes the local file and its row from the phone, but keeps the backed-up copy in the cloud.
- Delete everywhere — removes the local copy, the metadata in Supabase, and the audio object in FilesHub.
Deleting your account
Under Profile → danger zone (on the phone or the web app) you can delete your whole account yourself. This is self-service — you don't have to ask anyone.
Deleting your account removes:
- your sign-in identity,
- your profile row,
- all of your recording metadata, and
- your backed-up audio objects in FilesHub.
Local files already on a device are removed by the app on that device; a copy you previously exported or saved to Downloads lives outside CallVault and is not touched by account deletion — remove those yourself.
:::warning This is permanent Account deletion can't be undone. If you only want to stop backing up, sign out or turn backup off instead — that keeps your recordings on the phone. :::
