Profile & preferences

Profile is the same screen on the phone (Settings → Profile) and in the web library (the Profile tab). It carries your account, your plan and its end date, your household, and the way to delete everything. The Private cloud backup switch is on Profile in the web library; on the phone it lives under Settings → Storage & sync.

Your account​

  • Your email and the date you joined.
  • Your display name, which you can edit.

Your role and your account status are an administrator's to change rather than yours, and Roles & access covers how that grant is given, what it lets someone do, and how it is taken away again.

Your plan and its end date​

Profile shows the plan your account is on, with the date that plan ends. Nothing renews on its own. A plan runs to its end date and stops unless you pay for another period, and paying happens on the website rather than inside the app. A renewal extends the end date and never shortens it, so paying early costs you nothing.

A plan ending deletes nothing. New backups pause at the lower limit. Nothing already stored is deleted, and every recording on the phone is untouched. Plans and Family has the limits and the prices.

If you belong to a household, Profile is also where you leave it. Leaving takes effect at once and you go back to your own plan, or to Free; nothing stored is deleted, and new backups pause at the lower limit. The owner of a household can't leave it. The owner can close the household instead, which ends every membership and leaves everybody's recordings alone, though it does not end the owner's own plan, which runs to its end date.

Private cloud backup​

It is off until you turn it on. Turn it on and audio uploads as private files only you and a CallVault administrator can reach, on Wi-Fi by default. Private cloud backup is that switch's home and covers what your plan allows.

Appearance and language​

Choose light, dark, or follow the system setting. The web remembers it per browser.

CallVault ships in English and Urdu (اردو). Urdu renders right-to-left and the whole interface mirrors with it, web library included. The app follows your phone or browser locale, and you can set it explicitly here.
